Hey Team,
I am setting up a new forum and I did well installing the last one however, this one is biting me back. Here is the message I am getting so I have included a link to show you my strings and have disguised of course my private info. This should help to show the error message and the strings I have imported on the new forum config.asp file but... as you can see I am getting the same error message. The MySQL database is all set up too and the right string is plugged into it. Can anyone advise here? http://dadsdefendingdads.com/Advice.html
Thanks,
MrJustice! |

could be your host is caching the file. Try deleting your config.asp file from your forum, and then go to setup.asp again. If it doesn't complain that it cannot find config.asp, then it is getting a cache of the file. If it complains about config.asp missing, try re-uploading your config.asp file and try again. |

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

Hmm I see it says it has been already setup. Is this a new forum? Try reinstalling the tables again.

Oops one more sorry guys. I set up the forum feature to Subscribe by topic and then went to creat a new forum and it would not display the drop down menu for the subscribe by topic so that I could set it up that way. Is this a bug or error on my end? Please... :)

Do you have the email server set up and the email features enabled?
Also, after you enable them in the admin options you need to enable subscriptions in the category, then enable in the forum, etc. |

Kewl, Got that now. Just wish I did not have to redo my forum and reset my topics and forum there up. I see I needed to have set that up that way the first time. I don't have many threads started yet so I will redo it. Thanks! |
