I like the color choice very much. However, the links in the nav bar aren't linked properly.
As for your question of generating traffic, one thing you might look at is your meta tags. It appears that you placed them within the body of the page, and that might not work. You should try including them in the inc_header.asp file, in the head section.
Your keywords need to be fluffed up a little as well. You only have "natural skin care" for your forums, but your other pages have much more. Try also breaking down your longer keywords such as "natural, skin, care."
Your description could use a little fluffing as well. Include names of things people will search for and names of popular products in your description.
Go out and actively search for links to your site. It doesn't matter if it's a competitor, anyone with a higher page ranking than you is a good candidate.
Submit your site to search engines on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, and also at www.dmoz.org.
See if you can add more links to products in your home page. Inline text links are great to point to the forum as well. Don't just rely on the nav bar.
And finally, I know some don't see it this way, but I say to open up your forum for viewing by anonymous viewers. Without some idea of what's being said in the forums, you really don't know how many people are there and whether or not the advice the customer wants for their skin is going to be intelligent and valid. Let them read, then if what is there interests them, they'll register to post. It also opens up more links and actual text on your site that Google will be able to search for relevance.
Hope that helps. |

Wouldn't do that. Search engines don't like spammers. Especially when you slam them with submissions and have them completely locked out of your site. What's the point?
Assuming that you unbanish the search engines from your forum, all you need is one PR2 or better inbound link and you'll be indexed soon enough. How high you go depends on your content and the links you get after that. Resubmitting weekly has nothing to do with it.
Once your forum's indexed there's no need to resubmit. Just keep fresh content going and your good to go.
