Hi,
I have been a happy Snitz Forum user since 2002. I have been doing some reading and have discovered that we are not using the newest release. We are currently using version 3.4.03. I read if you have version 3.4.04 you can download only the files that have changed. What should I do to upgrade from v 3.4.03 to 3.4.05? I don't want to lose my forum structure or the archive of almost 13,000 posts.
The forum is located at http://www.e-team-usa.org/Forum5/ Thank you very much...

Steve "Sting-USA"

Do you have any mods installed?
Your forum data will not be lost, and no archived posts will be lost either. The only thing you will lose are code changes made to the forum files... which by the look of your forums seem to be none...

So just replace your existing files by the new ones, while keeping the settings from your existing config.asp file, and run setup.asp. That will upgrade your forum to the latest version.

Steve,

you may want to back up all the old files and data, before you make any changes....

DB changes from 3.4.03 to 3.4.05 are minimal. A 3.4.05 DB would work with 3.4.03 code and vice-versa. There is no risk involved, pure and simple.
