I want a moderator to approve every post before it is displayed on the board for member viewing and responding. How do I setup such arrangement? |

You need to set Allow Topic Moderation to On, in Admin Options -> Feature Configuration. Then you need to edit each category properties to allow topic moderation and then edit each forum properties to set the desired moderation level. |

We currently modorate all posts. The way it works now is the modorator has to go into every topic to check if there is a new pending post. Users sometimes complain that posts are taking to long to get approved.
Is there a way that modorators can be notified when a new post is pending?

Not by in the base install, but they can easily see all posts that are awaiting moderation, by clicking the relevant icon on active.asp, etc. or by navigating directly to moderate.asp to save them having to check each topic.

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

Thank you for the quick response. I don't quite follow your instruction though. I am logged in as a moderator and I have a pending post that is "not moderated" I click "active topics" which I think is the active.asp page and I see two topics that have rescent posts but I don't see the topic with the pending post. I can't find the moderate.asp page.
Thanks Dave

At the top of the table on active.asp (where the "mark all as read" link is), on the right hand side you should see this icon:

You're welcome Should have said in my original reply, though, that there are a couple of mods floating around that'll e-mail a moderator when a new post is made if you still want to go that route - you should be able to find one easily by searching the mod forums here.
