Can't say that this is a bug as much as just an overlooked option.
In topic.asp, in the code, there are three methods available while replying to a topic. These are:
Reply TopicQuote ReplyQuote
All of these are represented with this icon:
I'm wondering, in the next release of Snitz, if there could be added an additional icon to represent the "Reply" method (replying without quoting the message) ... one that looks different than the reply with quote icon used right now?
I use this icon , which is the same icon except it has a solid white middle representing no quotes. The "Reply" method is used currently at the top and bottom of the page on topic.asp on a typical Snitz forum, but not within the discussion where the "TopicQuote" and "ReplyQuote" methods are used.
I usually add the icon above with the "Reply" method attached to it and place it along side of the "TopicQuote" and "ReplyQuote" in the reply options of the discussion. An example of how I use it is: here.
Etymon, good idea. Not sure if it'll be used by many, but still good thinking. Good choice for the icon too. Subtle change to the Reply-with-quote icon.
