I use avatar mod, and it seems to work fine, except on one detail. When I log on as admin and upload the avatar, and then goes in to memberslist, and choose what avatar the should have. i got no error message but it doesnt work. When I open the mdb database, it seems that the avatar record is empty, and if i already have an avatar and want to choose another one, it cleares the avtatar record. Is this a feature? :) |

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but it looks like my avatar question too. When making a new post - there is no avatar shown in the Author's box. Each and every subsequent post does show the avatar. Is this normal?
You can try it out using the link in my signature. U: demo p: test

The instructions are not 100% clear for 05; in topic.asp you need to add the avatar to the reply loop and in the sub getfirst. I am beting you didn't do the second one. |

Yes, this is 05 Snitz. I had Poll Mod installed and well commmented, but it really threw off the line numbering in topic.asp
Toward the last Avatar modification to topic.asp, I was flying blind, just trying to get a feel for it. (I don't know my asp from a hole in the cheese). I'm lucky it worked at all.
I don't know the reply loop from the sub, but if that means its toward the last modification, I'll go have another look. Do you think that may be the same problem that micke__1 has? |

No idea.
What you want to do is find the very last thing in the avatar readme.html, find sub getfirst() in your topic .asp, and add that code like it is described in the readme.html file |

Thank you. That fixed the problem. I completely left out the very last thing (code addition) in the readme.html file.
Did as you suggested, and presto! It works!
