To cut a long story short l have gone my own way from the person who owned the site l was admin on.
I understood that l download the snitz and put the code into my site and then my site onto my server but the person writing my site has said the following and l wonder if anyone can clear this up for me please:
...my immediate view of it is that it wont do what you want it appears for all the "clever stuff" message boards etc are external to the site - can be done but not as convenient as having it all in the same place.
I see no sense in that, unless you are planning to host the site in one server and the forum in another server, but it doesn't seem like that, from your first paragraph. So, what the person that's writing your site said doesn't make that much sense.

I'm not quite sure what is being said here. Snitz is on your own site and is not external. You simply upload all of the Snitz files to a folder (ususally called forum) on your server and you're set to go with a few minor changes to config.asp. This way your forum would simply be www. yourdomain .com/forum. It's as simple as that. Nothing external at all.
l didnt want to speak to him before l got the info in case l had misunderstood him. No it will all be on the same server but having your info l can now ask him what he is on about.
