Hi guys

I am trying to install your forum onto our site and have been quite successful in setting the scripts up thus far. I have managed to connect to our MSSQL database ok but I am a bit fearful of creating new tables which are necessary for the scripts/forum to work.

I uploaded all the files onto the server like you instructed and configured the config file. Your instructions told me to then log onto the setup.asp page, which I did, and then followed the online setup process. When you load the setup.asp page there is a link that says "Click here to create the tables in the database." which I clicked. However, then next page then asked me to:

1. Select the SQL-server version you are using:
2. create the empty database on the server along with name and password
3. choose the Forum Admin UserName & Password that will be entered into the database for the Forum Admin.

I was going to continue but alarm bells starting ringing in my head. My concern here is that I will continue and for some reason it will affect our existing tables (ie replace them or remove them entirety). We currently have several tables used for other processes for the site.

Is it safe to continue with their online table creation tool or should I create the tables (long winded) manually by logging onto our server and creating themindicidually?

If you could guide and let me know then that would be great.

Cheers

Rod

You can proceed without fear, your existing tables won't be affected.
