I guess it's coming up, but still buggy. Won't let you log in or post. The two post pages are acting stupid. I've re-uploaded those pages, but it's still causing login and post issues. Any ideas? Yea Anon that sounds cool.

Any test login data, so that we can check for ourselves?

When I try and login now on a different PC I get:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.

/forum/inc_func_common.asp, line 617

After ligging in.

When I reply to a message I get:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.

/forum/post_info.asp, line 981

So this updateable query is still killing me. I called godaddy and they were lost at what I was asking them to do.

Do you have a test account that we could use to see the problem in action?

The updateable query error needs to be fixed by godaddy. They need to assign read / write permissions to the anonymous internet user for the database file and folder.

Wow, I must be making this harder than it has to be. I called them and they say they can't set permissions on my site. Said to go to IE and do that. I tried and it said I can't set permissions on this host. LOL!

Also, where is the database? I couldn't locate it in the forum. What is it typcially called and is it normally in the forum?

The location and filename of your database is set in the active connection string in config.asp. Look for a line that starts with "strConnString" without a single quote (') in front of it. That location should NOT be your forum folder, and the folder that it is in needs read and write permissions and disabled file-listing permission. The filename will have a ".mdb" extension.

that use our children unjustly as "instruments" of power.

Check your connection string in config.asp, it will tell you where it is located.

I don't know whether you can change permission from your goddady control panel. Maybe check it out.

I cannot find a program that is allowing me to change the rights. I'm at work and I tried file zilla but though it has that option, the command not understood thing comes up when I try and change the rights. Still looking for the db location. Is it normally in a certain place?
