I have had Snitz Forum running on my server for 2 months. Yesterday my server migrated my account to a new platform. The forum was working in the preview wizard on the new platform and when migrated it stopped working.
The only change that occurred, was that my database is now stored in a folder on my main file directory and not on the same level as my html.

I have used the whereami.asp and changed the settings to direct to my database and nothing has worked. I am using an Access database called forums222.mdb. which is in a folder named database.
Right now I have in what the whereami.asp stated, however, I have tried /database/forums222.mdb and it is still not working. My setup file is still on the site and I can't get into anything. The forum is located at www.trentriders.com/forum/default.asp

The error message I receive is:
-----------------------------
There has been an error !!

The database could not be opened !!
Check your config.asp file and set the
strConnString so it points to the database.
Also check if strDBType is set to the right databasetype.

Code : 80004005

Error Description :
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] '(unknown)' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.

My config.asp is

<edit by="Shaggy"> Please do not post the entire contents of a file here; either post an extract relevant to your problem or link to a *.txt copy of the file </edit>

Any help appreciated and I am using notepad to edit.

Thanks
Steph

Try to enter the full path:

Source=!!\\nawinfs04\home\users\web\b2124\rh.stephanieeddy\forum\database\forums222.mdb"

Is your folder named database inside of a folder named forum? I as this because you say:
quote:
The only change that occurred, was that my database is now stored in a folder on my main file directory and not on the same level as my html
Perhaps you need to double check the path you have entered.

Maybe you need to remove the part in red:

strConnString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=\\nawinfs04\home\users\web\b2124\rh.stephanieeddy\forum\database\forums222.mdb" '## MS Access 2000

I am just going to try and reinstall as the only thing I can think of is something didn't get moved over to the new platform.

You have a problem, cause the last connection string, using a DSN is also uncommented:

strConnString = "database" '## DSN

As this is the last one to appear, it's the one being used. Comment it by adding a ' at the beginning of the line.
