A couple more questions.
I hope I didn't give the wrong info at the beginning.

Let's say there is a current member that joined at any time. I suspect that is u1. Then that user referred one or more people and they joined. I want to determine how many people (count) joined during that time period that were referred by u1.

If this is the correct query for that, what are the two fields I am outputting. I want the name of the person who made the referrals, and the count of the referrals that joined between the dates listed.

Oh yeah, the reason for this? I am running a contest to win an iPod on my site. The person who refers the most will win an iPod of their choice.
