Has anyone migrated Snitz to a .NET based forum? If so, can you please share your experience and which forum software you migrated to?

If they don't use Snitz they probably wouldn't be here
But anyways, with most forums it's ususally the one you're moving "to" that will supply a good migration script. |

From what I know, Snitz has no plans on moving over to the .NET platform. There is supposedly a migration script over at Community Server which is a .NET type discussion forum, blog, photo album, the works. Just do a search for the word "Snitz" over there and you'll find a few topics discussing this. |

There are a few people who have converted from Snitz to Community Server. There is a conversion script (or two) that will work OK for some people, but it is a bit of a chore and I have yet to have it work on my entire forum.
fyi. Version 2.0 is due out in a couple weeks. |

just code your site to work around the standard Snitz, it is perfectly happy nestling in a .net site, there is no real need for the forum itself to be .net, if the server supports .net it will also support asp
see here for some examples http://www.dipex.org/community http://www.robotbuilder.co.uk
the robotbuilder site was written using the community starter kit v1.1 my brother wrote a Snitz Providor so that the CSK uses the Snitz member table for it's member table and unified the login. |

I'm developing a website in Visual Web Developer express 2005, using the membership services. I've not used Snitz before however it has been recommended to me. I want to integrate a forum into my website but am not too strong on coding. Would it be possible to integrate Snitz? Or can anyone recommend an alternative? This is for my dissertation for my degree so I need to keep cost minimized.
thanks in advance, Hels |

I've got one written (though with only slight testing). Anyone interested in beta testing it for me?
