Hi! I'll start off like most of the people - I'm a newbie.
Well, to the problem then. I have used Snitz Forums with success earlier when i used my own computer as server - with IIS. Now, I have ordered a web-hotel, but i get a error message when I try to configure the forum..
There has been an error !!
The database could not be opened !! Check your config.asp file and set the strConnString so it points to the database. Also check if strDBType is set to the right databasetype.
Code : 80040E4D
Error Description : Authentication failed. Click here to retry.

Please help? Thanks in advance!

Have you changed these settings when you uploaded your forum ?

The thing is, I can't access the forum at all. :/ Not even with IIS, it says "Server Application Error". Depressing... :(
laser: yup, I have changed them.
EDIT: How irritating, the forum works on IIS, but not on the internet.... |

Are you certain you set the connection string to point to your Access .mdb file? The error you posted sounds more like something from a sql server database connection.
