I recently installed a new operating system after the other crashed. The old applications are still on the hard disk but obviously won't run so I've been installing new ones. But for Outlook, I'm trying to find a way to grab my contacts and e-mails. I was able to grab the .pst archived files but I could not find a way to get into, nor do I know where to look, to extract the non-archived e-mails and contacts. Can anyone help?

default location for outlook .pst file on a XP machine is:

C:\Documents and Settings\<userID>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

where <userID> is your system login ID.

cheers,
Nat

If I remember right you will have to show hidden files/folders to find the "Local Settings" folder and to see the .pst.
