Hi

My discussion board moved to a new server months ago and when we moved it over i remember there being issues around the hosting of it. We sorted those out at that time but a new problem has come to light..

When someone registers as a new user or tries to send an email to a different user this error message comes up. I think it related to the Set objNewMail = Server.CreateObject ("CDONTS.NewMail") line

error message:

Send an E-MAIL Message
Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
Server.CreateObject Failed
/gpforum/inc_mail.asp, line 101
800401f3

Can anyone advise me please?

CDONTS is robably not installed on the server. Are there any other email components available ?

Sorry for the double post. I posted the first one and then realised that i should have posted it here.

Thank you for your reply podge. I am not sure if there are other components available. Is that the question which i need to ask the hosting company?

Go to your email server config page in the admin section. Are there any other email components in the dropdown list?

Does your host have any documentation on sending email through their servers?
