Has anyone had members disappear from the members list...and not because you deleted them :)?

I opened the mdb and looked at the members table...a backup from early december shows a count of 67 with 31 actual records, 2 of those being n/a deleted members.

The current mdb backup (Jan 20,06) shows a count of 70 with 31 actual records, 2 of those being n/a deleted members, BUT there are two new members and two old members have disappeared!!!...and guys, this isn't counting the missing member that started me looking...so i'm up to 3 missing members.

anyone had this happen to them before? i'm thinking something is going on with my database.

Thanks for all your help...you are a GREAT resource.

Records won't simply disappear. They need to be deleted. Sometimes a DB problem may cause you to lose data, but in such a circumstance I'm sure you'd notice, cause the DB wouldn't be left in a good state.

Thanks ruirib, my sister tell me she deleted them a few months ago which would explain the difference. She tried to re-register one of them, couldn't, I tried, couldn't...it says the member and email address already exist....but they don't show up in the members table...is there a way to restore members who have been deleted?

thanks again.

Their names must have been changed to 'n/a' and the email address was kept. You can try to set Require Unique Email to No and then add them, but you should be aware that they won't show as authors of any posts they made before.
Also, don't forget to restore Require Unique Email to the previous setting.
