I have a small spacing problem with my inc_header.asp

http://66.63.171.84/bbs/default.asp

If you look at my navigation bar, the "portal" and "profile" links are too close to each other. The other ones are spaced apart perfectly but these two and "Complaints" are smushed. Anyone know what to add to the code to fix that?

I'm guessing it's something really simple, but I just don't know what.

Are you using non-breaking spaces there? If you are, make sure you are using it in every link.

I'm honestly not sure Rui. Here is the applicable code from inc_header.asp

' Response.Write " <a class=othertabs2 href=""" & strHomeURL & """" & dWStatus("Homepage") & " tabindex=""-1""><acronym title=""Homepage""><font class=othertabs2>Home<font></a></acronym></a>" & vbNewline & _
' "  " & vbNewline
Response.Write " <a href=""portal.asp?""" & dWStatus("Forum Home") & " tabindex=""-1""><acronym title=""Forum Home""><font class=othertabs2>Portal</font></acronym></a>" & vbNewline & _
" " & vbNewline
if strUseExtendedProfile then
Response.Write " <a href=""pop_profile.asp?mode=Edit""" & dWStatus("Edit your personal profile...") & " tabindex=""-1""><acronym title=""Edit your personal profile...""><font class=othertabs2>Profile</font></acronym></a>" & vbNewline
else
Response.Write " <a href=""javascript:openWindow3('pop_profile.asp?mode=Edit')""" & dWStatus("Edit your personal profile...") & " tabindex=""-1""><acronym title=""Edit your personal profile...""><font class=othertabs2>Profile</font></acronym></a>" & vbNewline
end if

%>
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_complaints.asp"-->
<%

if strAutoLogon <> "1" then
if strProhibitNewMembers <> "1" then
Response.Write "  " & vbNewline & _
" <a href=""policy.asp""" & dWStatus("Register to post to our forum...") & " tabindex=""-1""><acronym title=""Register to post to our forum...""><font class=othertabs2>Register</font></acronym></a>" & vbNewline
end if
end if
Response.Write "  " & vbNewline & _
" <a href=""active.asp""" & dWStatus("See what topics have been active since your last visit...") & " tabindex=""-1""><acronym title=""See what topics have been active since your last visit...""><font class=othertabs2>Hot Topics</font></acronym></a>" & vbNewline
' ################################# Poll Mod ####################################
Response.Write "  " & vbNewline & _
" <a href=""active_polls.asp""" & dWStatus("See all the active polls...") & " tabindex=""-1""><acronym title=""See all the active polls...""><font class=othertabs2>Polls</font></acronym></a>" & vbNewline
' ##############################################################################
' Response.Write "  " & vbNewline & _
' " <a href=""websearch.asp""" & dWStatus("Search the web...") & " tabindex=""-1""><acronym title=""Search the web...""><font class=othertabs2>WSearch</font></acronym></a>" & vbNewline

Or, if this isn't helpful and you have a few minutes to spare, I can let you back into the SoD server to clear it up. Whichever is easier for you.

Try removing the extra </a> from the first line of Response.write

Nope, that doesn't do anything. Also, note that I coded the line for Homepage out.

Issue fixed. Replacing spaces by non breaking spaces did it.
