I have installed the "Logged on active users" mod by Ouija and I seem to have a problem. If I log on as admin or my other account it shows another user as being online member id-18 (ecc).
I click on the link and I see my own profile. This has happened with both of my accounts. There wasn't much code to copy n paste and the read me was idiot proof (I think).
Previously installed mods are Additional Smilies,PM & Poll Mod.
Any input on this one would be appreciated.
EDIT. I have also tried logging on with two accounts at the same time in seperate browsers and never see myself as being online in either of them. Just this other user. |

There's more... In my test forum on the same server using it's own database (access) the logged in user shows as a different member. There shouldn't be anyone in that directory and again it goes back to my profile. So I'm being shown as online as someone else?  |

| As you have discovered, there are serious problems with this mod as it is, and the author seems to have abandoned it. Forget it, at least for now. |

Arrghhh. It seems there was no dbs uninstall. Will it affect my database having stuff in that aint gonna be used?

I've been logged in as my general user account and shown online as 4 different users so far but always links back to my profile.
Maybe it looks like you have company so you don't feel so lonely?  |

I think I almost crashed the server. Htm pages loading instantly but as soon as I went for default.asp it was taking forever to load and locking up the browser. I left it for around 15 minutes, watched tv, and then scrolled down the page before my browser crashed. hundreds and hundreds of Disco Daves. Maybe more like THOUSANDS...
Pity the Author seems to have let this go as I've seen it on the demo site and like the look of it.
Is there another AU mod that shows the members ID when they're logged in? I've tried the lsk link but couldn't fint AU4. Tried Snitzbitz only found AUlite and this one I have just removed.

I never got past the test stage with it so I never changed my working db.
I don't know why the regular Active Users mod isn't up at Snitzbitz. Shoot me an email and I'll send it to you, because I have NO idea where I found it. |

No, it _cannot_ be found by navigating to the ls3k site. The direct link from your sig works, but how is anyone supposed to find that?
If he really doesn't want others to supply it, he needs to remove the gpl license: "1. You may copy and distribute verbatim copies of the Program's source code as you receive it, in any medium..." |

It is true that there is no link to the mod on the ls3k site, because Nathan only placed the download link in his profile here at the support forums and then announced this in a topic (or three). He did this a long time ago, which makes it difficult for anyone to find it but that is the story of it (as I remember).
The major reason for him to keep the link on his site was because many hosted older versions of the mod on other sites. This in turn caused a lot of un-necessary posts here about bugs and cries for fixes, when they were already done in the latest version.
Im not disagreeing with about the GPL-license nor the one to answer on why he included it. |

If anyone searches for it now at least they can find it in this topic
I've had a look at the read me, doesn't look to bad to a newb llike me, just gotta watch out for removing or replacing bit's of any previous mods. I'm good at that. Ask Davio lol.

Backing up is always a good policy, especially if you have other mods installed. |
