In Internet Information Server, you must uncheck Anonymous access to the forum folders.
To do this:
1. Open Internet Service Manager 2. Go to the web site where the forum is installed 3. Right-click on the folder where the forum is installed 4. Click Properties 5. Click Directory Security tab 6. Under Anonymous Access and Authentication Control, click [Edit...] 7. Uncheck "Allow Anonymous Access" 8. Click OK 9. Click OK 10. Close Internet Service Manager 11. Test the forum again
That should do you....
quote: Trying to enable NT Login for my forum and I get this error:
You have to enable non-Anonymous access for the forum on the server first
I'm getting the same error message, but I'm using PWS on a workstation to test it. Can you enable NT Authentication in this case as well? Thanks for any help!
I think NT Authentication only works if you are using NTFS instead of FAT. However, PWS might not have the feature to do so. I don't use it, so I don't know. Windows 2000 Professional comes with IIS 5.0, which is what I run at home and at work.
