It's all fun and i appreciate any help unfortunately it's still not hiding it. I only applied it to the name field for now until i get that working. This is the code for the name field.
I tested that locally and it did hide the field. Maybe your pop_profile.asp file is being cached in the server... Can you provide a test login so that I can have a look at the forum?
ok i just found out i cant make city hidden by itself. I have to add mlev > 3 to country and state too which hides the lot. How would i split these or should i just try to make a new field for Phone Number?

Yes but i dont want state or country hidden. We get collectors worldwide and these bits of info are handy. I found another thread you were helping with here which mentions using the title field and i'm having a bash at using that field. Trying to learn and i just hope i dont make a big mess i have backed up first

I only see title when i edit a users profile as admin. I gave the test username a title but it doesnt show when i view the profile until i edit. Changing if strMode = "goModify" then to if strMode = "goModify" or mode="Register" or mode="goEdit" then doesnt seem to have done anything yet. I'm guessing that allows the member to edit/add the required information? Just trying to work out how to make the field visible in edit and registration.

Getting too late so i'm going to cheat lol. I need it working for the morning and its 1am. Changing and moving Marital Status, much easier. Is there an easy way (code) to empty this part of the db as it has been used my a number of members? If not i will add so only numbers allowed in the field.
