We use to have an Admin on the board that isn't with us anymore and left on pretty bad terms. Since they've left we wanted to make sure that they couldn't go on the board and do anything but when we go into members we can't edit, lock, or do anything else because these options are not available for them. Instead of the icons there is just a dash mark.

What can we do to get rid of this member as an Admin?

I guess you can directly edit your database for this member , and in table forum_members, change the value of M_LEVEL to 1

Were they the SuperAdmin?

Search is your friend

As Shaggy said, where they the SuperAdmin which you would nomally not be able to edit. You will also not stop them from logging on as and Admin at any level. You need to edit the config.asp file and look for Const intAdminMemberID = and change the number there to be the ID of the person you want to take over the Admin side of things.

I would also change the password of generic Admin accounts to something else as well if you have some.

Please don't edit your database. Do as the moderators suggested.
