I'm using the latest version of the forum with MSSQL, and have moderate asp skills - can someone tell me how many, and which files I would need to touch to add a field to the member profile? I need it on the registration form, and displayed with their profile. |

You need to add serveral files. In addition to add the field to the DB.
Maybe, it would be much easier to rename one other field, if you have one you don`t want to use and simply make it work for your purpose.
Btw. once their was a MOD for the thing you want to achieve, but AFAIK it doesn`t work with the curent version of the forum. |

Thanks Rasco, While I was awaiting a reply, I remembered that I had turned several other fields off during the setup process. I can use one of those. I already renamed one of them and it's working fine. Thanks! |

There used to be a Telephone number mod that was a good guide to adding any field to the profile. |

This the one ye're talking about?
Although it looks like Pew has already found the easiest way of doing this

That's how I started out, using fields that was not used and modifying them. Then I used copy/paste and created more fields, a great way to learn =)
