I've installed the forum on my IIS root created the database tables and logged in as admin. But when I try to register another account through http://localhost/forum/policy.asp nothing happens. I click the "agree" button, the page refreshes but starts back over again

That's a problem with your firewall. Either disable it or add the Referer Mod.

hi. I am about to attempt to install this "referer.mod" and after reading the various threads I downloaded it and started to read the read me, now according to the read me. there should be 2 files to edit. "inc_header.asp" and "inc_header_short.asp" and this being a clean install all i should have to do is

"If this is the first mod you are installing on a Snitz Forum that has no prior mods installed, you can upload the files to your forum folder, overwriting your previous files."

unfortunatly there appears to be no "inc_header_short.asp" included in the mod download. am i having a blonde moment of some kind? or can someone point me to the missing "modded" file that should be with the mod.

any help appreaciated.

cheers

inc_header_short.asp is not needed. Change only inc_header.asp (or use the one provided in the download).

That's a cookie issue. Tell the user to clear the cookies, close all browser windows and try to login again.

Wasn't this a norton or macafee issue? If you disable either then the problem resolves itself.
