Im not quite sure where to put this, but I have downloaded and installed several mods (AdminLevel and the additional ranks.) These two seemed to work, except I seem to get a few problems that Im not sure how to fix. The first problem is that I lost the link to get access into my admin options from every page after I installed the admin mod. Where do I find this link to get it active again?
Another problem is that both mods require me to name a global moderator::
quote: You Must Enter a Value for Global Moderator Name
I'm not sure as to why I am receiving this message- all I tried to do was update the post counts for the various ranks. I also get these:: quote: # You Must Enter a Value for Member Level 5 Name # Rank Level 1 can not be higher than 5 # Rank Level 2 can not be higher than 5 # Rank Level 3 can not be higher than 5 # Rank Level 4 can not be higher than 5
I also received a few other errors:: quote: Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'
Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'M_NAME = 'omilot' AND M_PASSWORD = '3aba635d765652884ef791ae2e5bf8ce4ab8d3b92c0451ef70c354754d27e99d' AND M_LEVEL = 3 M_ALEVEL = 1 AND M_STATUS = 1'.
/forum/admin_login.asp, line 66
I guess I may have misunderstood the mod for AdminLevel. Im not sure it is what I need- but its close. I'm looking at creating 2 levels of moderators, a regular one and a semi admin. The only problem I have with this particular mod is that any other admins have access to private forums with ability to post and read these forums... Is there any way that I can exclude all of the admins from certain pages unless they have a password? (the forum requires allowed members and a certain password to enter but the admins are able to bypass everything and get access.)

oh ok. Well what I had managed to do was go in and look at the code and try and find a location that needed some of the fixes. I found that the level 5 rank was missing, so I copied the previous rank code and changed it for level 5.
After I did this, I was still missing a global moderator name. So I went back and did the same thing, except I changed everything similar to that of the administrator and compared it to that of the normal ranks. I needed to add this into the code. After I did all of this I was able to get everything to function correctly. I also replaced the admin_login.asp page with a new copy to get rid of the other error. |
