I had to turn on e-mail verification because I was getting spam bots on my site everyday. It seems like it will only send e-mail to internal e-mail address's, yahoo mail, and maybe gmail. I've tried cdosys and jmail. I have a newsletter that uses cdosys and I don't have any problem with it. I'm not sure if the forum will send subscription e-mails to most people or not. |

Not sure if this is the same problem I hasd a couple of weeks back or not but it sounds very similar. Try changing the address of your mail server in your admin options to localhost and see if there's any improvement.

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

well pple, i have a similar problem.
In my case, it seems that the system only sends mail to internal addresses as well (brinkster's servers) but never yahoo, hotmail, gmail, or any other domain mail for that matter!
I've tried to reset the mail server to localhost like was suggested above, but no change. It still delivers to only selected domains.

Another possible problem could be spam filtering? Just a thought :) |

Does it matter if your mail and webservers are on different machines for this tweak? I've recently moved to a W2k3 webserver and verification mails didn't get out when I turned it on (again due to spambots) but mailing to users worked. |
