I implemented the Snitz forum into this Church site that I developed. Thought that it turned out pretty well.

Genesis Church

Let me know what ya think?

<critcism type="constructive">

Your site looks great . . . untill I look at the forum. The forum, while somewhat integrated which is cool, has somewhat bolder colors than the rest of the site. You might be able to subdue it a little, and or even integrate it a little tighter by making some . . . more drastic alterations to its template.

James, I have to agree with Nathan ; the initial site looks stunning, but the forum does not seem to be using the same colors.
I also suggest removing the big forum logo, and bring the actual content more to the attention.
I've used Paint Shop Pro to 'construct' an alternate layout for the forumheader, and for the topicnavigation (the piece 'all forums - ... etc'

I hope you see what I mean. (Forgive the strange looking colors ... imageshack supports only 256 color images ...)

If you bring the forum layout more in line with the rest of the site - which looks excellent! - I think the visitors will really feal at home!

The constructive criticism is good.

-- The colors used actually are the colors of the Church (gold and dark blue). I think that taking out the gold and using perhaps one of the lighter blues may help be less bold.

-- At this time, I do not have a header replacement, but I do agree it could use a smaller header. I (Pier Cove Solutions) was primarily the developer of the site, and worked with MediaFuel (Designer) who designed the look of the site. We both attend this Church. I will see if he can make a mini version of the header just for the forums part of the entire site. I would rather him (MediaFuel) create the header than me step on his toes to do it. You know these artists, LOL.

Thanks,

James

The color of the headers and subheaders is a big improvement.

An icon set using the (darker) church colors could look hot. . . .
