I haven't used any myself, but some like http://www.programmingoutpost.com/ have a low cost of entry to stop abuse - I think I'd punt $5 on it myself.
Remember you'll still have to define your requirements extremely clearly - the better you define your workflows and specs, the less ambiguity there is when you come to acceptance of the project. Your spec ought to include a checksheet that says 'if the tool matches the following (unambiguous) criteria, I will accept it...' and include things like KPI's (performance eg able to withstand 200 page impressions/hour based on the following hardware spec). This will attract you higher quality freelance programmers than 'i want some stuff for $100', which will only attract newbies and idiots ;-) |
