David, are you still struggling with your problem?
I actually gave up on the whole blinking thing today and cancelled my contract with theintended new host, taking a $50 penalty hit and returning the Web cam I received for opening the account. All of my other sites work flawlessly with this host, 1&1.com, but it just didn't like Snitz and the tech support people won't troubleshoot code, understandably. So I sent the renewal check to the current host to be done with it, since my plan to save money with the switch of hosts has actually cost me well over $1,000 in billable time.
Thank you so much for your individual collective help and concern. And visit the happily working forums at http://www.gayrites.net/forum/default.asp |

Have a search through these forums for 1&1, there have been many people who have had problems with them and their lack of support in recent months.
|
Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

The lack of support I can attest to. I have found out that if you have any MODs that require file uploading in any way, and/or use the FileSystem object - it doesn't quite run right on thier servers.
As to why or getting this fixed, I have been unsuccessful. I found this out while I was trying to get my photogallery code working for the Warsong Records site before it went live.
I've been tempted to move myself for the same reason.

I recently went though the same thing. My server let my site be damaged and files corrupted, and didn't give me support for any of it, as a matter of fact, they tried to blame it all on me.
With so many server providers out there ... you can find one that can suit your needs.
