I noticed through the forums there wasnt anyway to change the username of the First Registered Admin, the one that was inputed when setting up the forums. Is there anyway to change the username of the first admin through editing of files or something? Thanks a lot i really appreciate the help
First you need to setup another admin user that you can login with. Then if you view that admin's profile it will show you the userid in the address bar like this: pop_profile.asp?mode=display&id=21
Next, open up config.asp and look for this line: Const intAdminMemberID = 1
Change that to the id number of your new admin user. Upload config.asp to your forum directory and then login as that new admin. You should now be able to edit the username of the Forum Admin. When finished, change the line in config.asp back to = 1 and upload again.
Alternatively, if you feel comfortable doing so, you can edit it directly through your database.
