Hi! I've used Snitz forums 2000 with Image 2001 add-on for my webbpage www.PCblocket.se. It's in swedish, but I think the design and functions of the forum would be recognized.
In any case, I done many special adjustments. I've used the language-mod, but removed all possibilities to change language. I've hardchanged a lot of formattings of the forum and coloring. Inserted the List of the forum / category and topic-name to all pages (even when a single forumgroup is showed). Call it navigator?
I've added oxies RSS.ASP as a feeder on other pages, and the inc_syndicate to show last topics on the forum, modified to show the date and initial topic-text (200 chars) as a popup when the mouse moves over.
The most visible change is that i tooked the form from the search-page, minimized it as a minimum and placed it on the menu who shows on the first forumpage. I've also changed that the menu hide some choices, for example hided "register" if I allreadey logged in.
The FAQ page is totally regenerated. All static content are removed, The whole FAQ-page shows information throw the FAQ-Admin MOD from this forum. The navigator is added here also.
I've also changed the loginpart a little. Separated the menu from the loginform. The loginform, at first, doesn't have the "remember" checked, and seems more accurate when tabbing (först user, then password, then remember, then loginbutton). The forum also sensing if a specifik user "namnlös" being used. It's a generic user and all edit-buttons is removed when "namnlös" is logged in.
My worst problem thought, I can't make the email-subscription work! I can send email and tips about a topic. But I try and try to make the subscription works, I have never recieved a mail about new topics =/.

Looks like you did a pretty good job of integrating it into your site. Since I don't know Swedish, I can't really pick around much. However, on the first page, I noticed this error. Using FireFox on a WinXP machine. The text in your upper-left corner ("Är du ovan forum? Ge det lite tid! Nedan listas kategorier, i dem skrivs frågor. Varje sådan fråga får en egen "tråd" för inlägg (svar). Registrera dig som forumdeltagare, det är naturligtvis kostnadsfritt!") breaks out of the box that it's in. I'm assuming you probably didn't do this intentionally. Other than that, I think you did a pretty good job.

Wow! Completely unrecognizable as a Snitz forum!
Great work!! And, at last a site that really uses a font like that correctly!! Very very very nice!

Thanks a lot for your reply and the nice view of the page. For only 30 minutes ago I also discover this error. I've now changed it to use a CSS-styled box, instead of a static image. Thank you! If you want to, you can go back and check if it's works now. |

Wow Thank you too for that opinion about the font!!! You don't know how many times i've gived up and thinked "No, f*ck this font, I use arial instead!"   .
If you also like the font, even the government of sweden can't manage this style, but use it anyway!  . Look at http://www.regeringen.se/.
Still no subscriptions, thought =/ |
