I am just getting this site up and running. I have just about finished but I am looking for some ideas on spicing it up a bit. Any suggestions? I am not sure if there are any other cool mods I can install that I haven't already thought of. I do like this wizard at this site anybody know how to do it? I have emailed the owner.http://www.assy.dk/. Anyway here is the site and the user name and pass are demo http://www.marvelworldunlimited.com/ |

Very nice. The one thing that caught my eye was the fact that you are using the default icons. You might want to consider creating some custom icons - for a new topic something like the bat signal flashing on and off, or a Spidey signal flashing on and off - that sort of thing. |

Looking quite nice, but isn't it 'just' another SHNForum ? Try a more 'bold' colorscheme, and indeed like Soar suggested, another set of icons, to make your site unique.
Another tip ; As your site is not that busy, you could try to hide the moderators (this will lower the threshold), and to limit the number of fora. There's no 'offtopic' section defined yet, however, 11 specific ones, which leave not much room for 'diversion'. Another tip (the last one ) ; I'd move the Testing Forum to the bottom of the forumlist, instead of at the top. But that's just a matter of taste.
Don't get me wrong ; this is meant as constructive critisism! Keep up the good work! |

Thanks again for the ideas. I am currently working on some ideas for the icons. Also what is the opinion on moving the testing forum to the bottom? My thought was to put it on top as to hopefully catch people before they post somewhere and then saw the test forum. Just my thought.
Thanks |

jwalla, perhaps you could have a look at the Hall Of Fame for some idea's on colors. Oh, btw, your site doesn't view well in 1024x768 ; at least sitenews.asp is too wide! |

I noticed this to but i am unable to find where to change the overall width of the tables that hold everything on sitenews.asp. Seems like I can't get it to change widths really. Any ideas? I did find in the code where to set the individual widths of the colums but it still doesn't seem to do much...? Hall of Justice Good idea for colors. |
