I installed the mod,and everything worked from the admin console,other than active topics error which I figured out.
I have been back thru with a line editor and found a few more mistakes.
BUT I cant get the logon page or the forums page to show up,the login page showed one time then it blinked and went back to http error 500.
All the other links in the upper right hand corner work except the main forum page.
Davio I emailed you but you must not have gotten it or you are to busy.Would certainly appreciate some help with this.

A link to your forum?
Make sure you turn off "Friendly error messages" in your Tools --> Internet Options. You will get a better error message that just "http 500". |

I am sorry to interrupt but I too installed POLL MOD and getting error as
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e10'
No value given for one or more required parameters.
/forum.asp, line 334
Line 334 is <b>rs.open strSql & strSql2 & strSql3 & strSql4, my_Conn, adOpenStatic</b>

| UH oh,I found inc_poll not included error,went into the default.asp found the missing things in front of the include,sent it back to the server,and now it looks to be back to a base install with no memebers no backgroun nada.HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!! |

| Well,I kept finding copy and paste errors,it looked like the copy was hanging up in memory or something,but it just kept finding more what ever i did,then it lost all the members and the background colors and pretty much trashed out.So when I get back from the holiday weekend I,m going to wipe out the sql data base and start fresh with a brand new clean install of everything,The data base is kinda banged up any way from a coupe of years of patching and fixing and converting.When i get the clean base install ready i will post and have you do it. |
