The mod we're talking about is available to download here.

It would be possible to tweak active users to do that, since the time for each visit is already kept by the mod. No need to use session for it, if you have the mod installed and as long as the changes I'm referring to are made.

I take it none of you can see the problem?

Did you even read my previous post? You have the file there, you just made some mistake while adding the mod.

Thanks - so what error did I make? Or at least where should I be looking? I have checked the line it refers to but not having any luck with that.

And if there should be a link in the stats box why is there no <a href anywhere in the code?

I will try adding the changed inc_func_common.asp file, but are you sure I have used that mod? I have forgotten which mod I used and am not sure if it was this one as some of the stuff in the readme looks new... How can I tell which one I used?

You should kno,w not me. Compare the download you have with the one in the link posted by Shaggy. Anyway, I would guess that having two mods with the same function names is not that likely...

im not sure - I was working on two - when one didn't work I moved to the other... but I don't remember which order it was in... I'm sure I used the one on Snitzbitz in the end...

and with all due respect when making an active users mod "active_users.asp" seems like a logical file name

I wrote function names, not filenames!

Thanks, I was going along the line with Shaggy and didn't think it was possible, but now I know it is. I'll have a look at this.

I guess I would keep two different counts: the one made by the mod, now, which keeps the time spent in the current session, and I would add that time to a field in the members table. It needs some care while doing it, but can be done.

I never said it wasn't possible, Tribal', just that the times would be out if the member didn't logout. Grabbing the time from the active users table would alleviate this problem somewhat but not solve it thanks to the config option that allows you to set the timeout for active users. The higher you set this timeout, though, the more innacurate the times will be.
