In the admin section of my newly installed Snitz forum V3.4.05, the link to the MOD Setup page is broken. I try to load this page but it just won't load and eventually just says "This page cannot be displayed" I want to install the Avatar MOD but without the MOD Setup page, it would be pointless to try. I don't have any MODs installed as this is a fresh installation of the forum.
Please help.... |

Turn off friendly HTTP error messages in your internet options to view the real error message.

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

It is off. I can post exactly what it says when IE eventually stops trying to load the page. |

No need if it's just a generic IE error message. Try using the alternative mod setup.

Well, it's been over a half hour and it's still trying to load. As for using the alternative mod setup. It doesn't say anything about using that in the Avatar MOD readme file. This is all it says.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Installation
Upload all the files to your forum directory.
Update the database
Go to Admin Options > Mod Setup Select Avatar Mod for 3.4 from the dropdown list Click "Update" After the database has been updated you can delete the dbs_avatar.asp file.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I've never installed a forum mod befor so I'm following the readme file. It doesn't say how to install it using the alternative mod setup so I'm kinda stuck. |

Open up the dbs file that came with the avatar mod in your favourite text editor, copy all the text in it and paste it into the textarea in the alternative mod setup.

Thank you Shaggy. Not sure why the MOD Setup page won't load, but if it's posible to install all mods with the alternative mod setup, I don't need it anyway.
BTW, that was the fastest I've ever had someone reply to a question on any forum I've ever been to. Thanx again. |

You're welcome If you want me to have a look at your regular mod setup, drop me a mail with a temporary admin login I can use.
