hi

all my members albums seem to be working fine, except for one, she can upload pictures fine and i can approve them but they don't display in her album, they are there in her folder (i've checked) but all that comes up in the album is the dreaded red x.

the only difference i can find between her and other members is that her username has a full stop in it, could this be causing the problem?? if so how do i sort it??

thanks

Dave

Have a look to see if the files have brackets "()" in the name.

Is so then this is the problem, you'll have to remove the brackets from the uploades and form the topic's calling them.

If not then I'm not sure.

Where are the photos stored on your serve? Is there a master directory where all photos are atored or does each member have their own directory? If the latter, how are the members' directories named; by MEMBER_ID or M_NAME? If they have the same name as the member then the period in that member's name is what's causing the problem. You should either:

- Rename that member and her directory
- Remove all non alphanumeric chracters from people's usernames when using them to create directory names
- Use MEMBER_ID to name the directories rather than M_NAME, which would be the best solution.

As I said, you'd be better off changing your script so it uses the member's ID as their directory name. This way you avoid issues like this and also orphaned directories if you ever change anybody's username.
