Hi there, I've been having a look at Doramoon's Anonymous Posting mod, and at a couple of more, but they all seem to be a bit 'bulky'... Don't get me wrong; they're great mods, but I think they could be more simple. Create one guest user restrict guest user from actually logging in restrict guest user from editing profile edit post.asp to show the login info for the guest user when not logged in That's about it. Or am I missing out on something now ? I'm just asking cause I don't want to spend nights after nights fiddling around with the code, finally realizing that the bulky mods weren't so bulky after all |

Only downside I can see to that, Marcel, is if a member is not logged in but use a password manager to remember their login details they may inadvretently end up posting as the guest user.

@morbidpalooza ; it doesn't work yet...I haven't build it yet @Shaggy ; true. And, downside ; they won't be able to edit their post made as guest (cause they cannot login as guest).... mmmm. Let me think about this some more |

One way around it would be a notice at the top of post.asp informing them that they are not logged in and can either enter their username & password below or use the guest name and password provided to make their post. You'd have to make it big & obvious, though, for those people who post in a rush and don't read these things.
