Minimal Search characters
last week I had some incredibly funny visitors that opened a couple of search.asp pages and filed in '.' (no quotes). The for grained to a hold do to this action with a 500 error as a result.
Not the first time this happens, so I was wondering if there is a way to minimize the amount of characters filed in the search field. Can I get a popup that tells people that its minimal 3 characters. And just like the registration page a way to exclude characters like:
',./=-+\][*!@#$%^&*("
Not of any use in the search anyway.
Hope somebody can help. After some hours of playing in the code with a java script 'request.Form' I'm out of idea's |
