I need to do some image layering using ASP.Net but my skills just aren't good enough, so I was hoping someone can help me out.

I just need some simple code on how to layer a transparent GIF onto a base image. I have been able to layer text and other objects (like a rectangle) onto the base image, but adding another image seems very difficult.

I've been googling and searching 4guys for a few hours, but can't find anything that actually works.

Huw, I've been wondering about this for the last week. How would the CSS add a transparent image that would need PhotoShop-style work to resolve ? I think your solution would see the original image with a watermark layered over it in HTML - am I right ? If not, can you show me some code ?

THanks

OK, I still need help, I just can't get it to look right.

This is the original image :

This is the image I want layered on top :

http://www.v8central.com/newgallery/watermark.gif

and here is the result :

I just can't get the watermark to look "clean". I've tried GIF & JPG, reducing or enlarging the watermark, etc....

Any ideas, help, tips, URLs, appreciated.

You'll need to create a *.png of your watermark so's you can use alpha blending to make the overlay look seemless.

SO SIMPLE !!!!

http://www.v8central.com/newgallery/Image2.aspx?img=1&dir=./galleries

But one final question (I hope !!), why do I have to make the watermark image 180x180 when I really want it to be 360x360 in the final image ?

If I make it 360x360 then it's just too big
