Update counts gives me a success message, but it still doesn't display the counts on the new forum - even after refreshing then checking on another computer.

Weird...can you compare the values in the FORUM_TOTALS table, between the Access and SQL Server tables?

Also, it seems like you're problems with the table structure have not finished yet:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid column name 'F_HIDDEN'.

Yeah I noticed that today too. I'll fix it tonight - it only shows up when you're not logged in.

Still trying to get the topic numbers to display. I fixed the db error that you noticed but it didn't help. Here's the result of the update counts -

Count Update Complete

I checked the Access DB and the SQL DB - the FORUM_TOTALS table looks the same for both, and there isn't any difference in the column structure at all.

I wasn't talking about the column structure, I meant the values in the table. Are they the same?

They were a little off, so I updated the SQL to match Access and no change in error. Also it's weird but if you go into the individual topics all the totals appear.

I updated the values of the single record in SQL to match those that were in the Access version that was imported.

Try it now - it's on a POS server until I can get this upgrade done.

Are you using a connections string with the JETOLEDB provider?

Sorry, I missed your connection string post the first time cuz it went to page 2. Here's my string (with my own login info of course):

strConnString = "driver={SQL Server};server=SERVER_NAME;uid=USERNAME;pwd=PASSWORD;database=snitz2000" '## MS SQL Server 7

which actually may be an issue cuz it's on a SQL2000 box. What should i be using?

Use something like this instead:

strConnString = "Provider=SQLOLEDB;Data Source=SERVER_NAME;database=DB_NAME;uid=UID;pwd=PWD;"

After changing it, try updating the forum counts again.
