I installed snitz a few months ago and have not had the time to work with it till now.

I cannot remember my admin password. Can anyone tell me where I can find it. I knowm it is in some file, but cannot remember which one it is. I cannot use the email retrieval option since I never set it up.

Thanks.

It is in your database, in the FORUM_MEMBERS table. Look for the Username of the admin account. It will be encrypted, but if you remove the string from the password field you should be able to log on with a blank password and change it to something else.

You can also install the admin password reset utility by Hamlin or Gremlin: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=38577&SearchTerms=reset,password

You can not reset other Admins' passwords with that MOD, let alone the Superadmin...

You are sure about what you're saying? Did you even took the care of reading Gremlin's post, or you just saying that after a careful, detailed analysis of the code?

You can't reset it with the MOD in the post you linked to. I know that because I have it installed myself. Gremlin's script allows you to do it, but I call that a script, not a MOD.

Where did I write mod in my post? I called them 'utilities', not mods. Maybe you can be so kind as to tell me where I called them mods, and for that matter, to tell me what is the importance of what you call things, as long as they do what you expect them to do?

When I provide a link to a post, I expect people to read the link. The link's contents are clear to me, you can think whatever you want, but if you go writing that my posts contain wrong info, you'd better be sure that they do. I just don't come here posting whatever comes to my mind, I make as sure as possible that the info I post is correct. If I'm not sure, I don't post at all, since I don't want to mislead anyone.
