Has anyone here been able to use VNC with the Worm Blocking Feature in NAV2005 enabled? Done some googling and no one has posted any fix yet. Nothing on the Symantec site either.

The best thing to do with anything NAV related is remove it and get a better security package for you computer. NAV and NIS are evil and should be expunged from existance.

I agree, umfortunately a customer has recently installed it all through their network and we can no longer get access for remote support without closing down the worm blocking. On top of that it comes up with a message to the client after a VNC session recommending the uninstallation of the worm 'VNC' with a simple 'click here' to remove option...PITA

precisely why it should be removed, can't they see that something that can't distinguish between legitimate software and a worm is not going to be very good at its job.

I had to turn off the worm blocking in NAV2005 to allow WallWatcher to continue to work. I couldn't find any way to explicitly configure an exception, I imagine VNC will be the same.

Hmm, I just VNC'd into my XP box from outside and had no NAV issues. XP is running Norton Systemworks 2005. Oh, I have the worm protection off anyway, ignore this

I agree with Huwr, the worm blocking feature in NAV is horrible. Even if you permit an application, 3 seconds later it pops up and asks again if you want to permit or deny. Can get frustrating when trying to play online games.
