I just got done upgrading and fixing a previous problem i had. thought it was all working good, But now when anyone goes to post reply they get this error when they submit there reply

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Invalid argument.

/forumtest/post_info.asp, line 1027


anyone have this happened before and know how to fix it?

I havent touched the Forum code besides telling it where the database is.

Change the connection string in config.asp to use the string for the Jet OLEDB drivers.

OK.. change the connection string type and got the same error but a little different. here it is.

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Invalid argument.

/forumtest/post_info.asp, line 1027



any ideas?

Response.End

I don't see anything wrong. Can you download your .mdb file, open it in Access, create a new blnk query, do not add any tables to it, copy the output posted in the previous past, choose View->SQL View, pasted the copied output into the SQL View Window, and then execute the query. Access should give you, then, more precise information on the error.

thanks for taking a look at it,
Im not really savy with access and my boss is freaking out cause the forum isnt up. is there anyway you would except payment to get this forum up and running?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'except payment', but if you want to create a temporary admin account and them email me the server access data, I will take a look. Contact me by email.
