Some of the members of my forum share the same ip address.
Now I realise that this is probably the same person signing on as different people.

What is more worrying however is that some seem to have the same IP address as mine.

Is this something sinister or is there a possible innocent explanation?

IPs are dynamic, quite frequently. That means several different users using the same ISP can get the same IP at different times. Also, sometimes people access the internet through proxies, and the IP shown will usually be the same for all the users who use the same proxy.
