Recently a memebr on my board posted a big unordered list (forum code) and the last two list items don't appear like they should, in stead the have [*] in fornt of them (link).

I looked into the post, but everything is fine. Is this a known issue? Any workaround?

just [*]? you need to have [/*] at the end of the paragraph to turn it into a bullet point/part of a list...

There is the but when you read the topic you can see the
  • and there is no reason in the post to explain why the last two entries are not shown as list items.

    The number of [ *] and [/ *] is not the same. Edit the post and make sure that there is a [/ *] for each [ *].

    I registered as test, corrected the number of [/ *] and you can see the list is showing correct now.
