Hello,
I have tried this Site Poll MOD and I have installed it all to the instrurctions and still can not get it from saying "Site Poll Not Turned On".
I have read about it, in lots of topics here (2 only) on it, with no resolution. I have the /Forum/STRSITEPOLL = 1 yet the site is still not picking it up. I can view the site_poll.asp from the directory I have placed it, but if I use it as an include, it shows "Site Poll Not Turned On".
Yet, if I go and turn it off in the admin options, it still alows it to be shown when it is not included in the page I want to show it in.
Can someone who has this working, please show me a text version of youe site_poll.asp file so I can check why it is not working on my site or please advise as to why it is not picking up.
I would of replied to the other topics, but they are old and have now been archived.
Thanks in advance..

Soo, you can't get my site poll mod to work eh? Must be something you doing wrong then.
Ok,so you have the site_poll.asp file in the root of your website? And your forum is in a /forum/ folder?
Advise to test the site_poll.asp file by going to it directly, and not include into your front page as yet.
Make sure you have set the Cookie location in your Admin Options to Website.
That's all I can advise you for now. |

Yes I have the site_poll.asp in the root of my site.
I have it working directly when you only go to the site_poll.asp file. Even if I turn off the site poll in my admin pages it still shows up. But if I add it to the site with-in a page at default1.asp for an example to show it not working correctly, it shows the "Site Poll Not Turned On".
The Cokkies are set to the Website as I have a uni login working across the site.
Any suggestions?

I have got it working in a roundabout way.. I think I will leave it at that as I have to play and edit the site_poll.asp file to suit where I want it to go. Thanks any way..

Hmmm. You rather stay with a roundabout way, than work with the author of the mod to get it working the right way? *scratches head*
Oh alright. Good luck with it. |
