I am having a lot of trouble setting up the database and server thingy. I signed up for www.1asphost.com, and I downloaded mySQL Front, but I have no idea what to do after that. What do I upload my files to, the 1ASPHost, or the SQL. Please someone help! |

I believe 1ASPHOST doesn't support SQL databases - You will have to use an Access database. |

You don't need to have Access on your computer to run your forum on an Access database, although it is convenient. As an alternative, you can download an online table editor (which I'm sure somebody else has the link to) to edit your database online. |

You just have to upload the *.mdb file that comes with the forum package to a folder on the server that has read/write permission, and edit your config.asp to reflect the correct database type and setting the right path for the connection. Use the readme file for the latter. You shouldn't have any trouble. And if you do, that's what we're here for |

Make sure you rename the *.mdb file as well and put it in it's own directory so people can't download it by guessing the URI. For additional security, it's also a good idea to change the extension from .mdb to .asp.
