Is it possible at all to stop users from deleting their own posts? In effect getting rid of the trash button? I guess i could look through the code and get rid of the button directly from there. Suggestions?
Ay, have a scan through topic.asp for pop_delete.asp, that'll get them all. You also might want to add a check to pop_delete.asp itself in case anyone tries to delete their posts by navigating directly to it.

You could also look for the "time limit mod" and install that. That way you could set it so they have like 5 minutes to delete something, and 5 minutes to edit something. Because even removing the "Trash Button" will not stop them from editing their post to have just an "X" in their post like a user did here a while back.
May somebody tell me how to find this time limit mod . I have now gone through nearly the whole forum and I am sorry, but up to now I have no idea how to get install something, that users are not allowed to edit their posts.... Any help would highly appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion David. I've tried looking for the MOD that you mentioned but like Ariane I can't find it. Anybody point us in the right direction?
