Greetings! I'm a complete noob who knows virtually nothing about programming. Unfortunately, however, I am the moderator for the Een Electronics forum: http://www.eden-electronics.com/forum/default.asp
We're using 3.4.05 and we're having a problem loading a custom policy. When I go to the Admin functions, there's a Custom Policy link in the list on the right I enter the tet of the new policy and click on SUBMIT button. And...nothing changes.
Am I missing something?
TIA for any help...

Did you select the "use custom policy" option? |

To be honest, I'm not sure. On the custom policy page, I see "Disply Mode" with the choices Default and Custom. I this what you're talking about? If so, then yes, I selected Custom. I cannot find any other reference to "use custom policy on other admin pages.
Do we need to have a mod installed to display a custom policy?
Thanks in advance for any advice/help...

Did you do as Step 3 states:
Logon as admin and click on "Admin Options" Click on "MOD Setup" Choose "MOD: Custom Policy v1.0" from the dropdown box and hit "Update"
With out this, it will not write to the DB and there will not be any fileds selected. If this is done, you should be able to go to the Custom Policy and you should see the following there:
Your custom policy here
Also another thing could be that you have not replaced the old policy.asp file with the new one.
I hope that helps.

OK...seems I'm not authorized to do MOD setup.."Only Forum Adminsitrator can access this page". However, I'm sure our web guru can. However, I have a hunch that the problem is that he did not update the policy.asp file when we first attempted to change (add to) our custom policy. I know I didn't do this when I tried to change it... I will relay this information to him. Either way, I think what you wrote is going to help us get this solved. I'll report back here to let you know. |
