I would like to do a mod thingy like the "Last 5 topics" But have it do it for the private topics instead..

Any ideas on how to do this??

Guessing this is for a news/info display, there are several around www.Snitzbitz.com is best but i'll see what i can dig up.

This is the news mod that SHN forums uses http://www.shnforum.com/forum/sitenews.asp

What u do is creat a private forum and point the mod to the forum, so it displays the last X# of posts.
This is what i use and it's very use full if incorperated cleanly.
