You are looking for title in the link, not acronym as that would be bad HTML.
You need to add the first post to the forum.asp SQL and all the other standard places, then trim it to 100 characters, and place it in the title of the a tag. |

Ok, sounds easy, but I am still new at this.. I kind-of have this working:
<acronym title="<% =trim(left(rs("T_MESSAGE"),150)) %>"> blah blah </acronym>
This works some-what.... but has a problem with hyper-links... here is where I got my idea from: www.dbforums.com/f192 if you move your mouse over the Thread/title block area you will se what I am talking about...
Any ideas... Thanks for your reply... |

OK, first, IIRC they messed with the code because vBulleting has the option on only the topic link, not the member link.
What you want to do is <a href="link to topic" title="what you wrote">topic title here</a> |

There is a mod floating around somewhere that does exactly what you want. Try searching the mod forums here or having a look over at [green]SnitzBitz[/gren].

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |
